📧 Overview
RTC Email allows you to automatically forward incoming messages to another email account (like Gmail, Outlook, or another provider). This helps you manage all your email in one place without needing to log into multiple inboxes.
⚠️ Recommended Setup
Many modern email providers (like Gmail and Outlook) are phasing out older connection methods such as POP3.
👉 Because of this, email forwarding is often the most reliable—and sometimes the only—way to receive your @rtcol.com email in another inbox.
If you want all your RTC Email messages to appear in another service, we strongly recommend using forwarding instead of trying to “connect” accounts.
Why Use Email Forwarding?
You might want to forward your RTC email if you:
📥 Prefer checking email in a different inbox (like Gmail or Outlook)
🔄 Want to keep a backup copy of your messages
📬 Manage multiple email accounts and want everything in one place
đźšš Are transitioning to a new email address
What Does This Do? (Simple Explanation)
When someone sends an email to your @rtcol.com address:
The message arrives in your RTC Email inbox
A copy is automatically sent to another email address you choose
The message can remain in your RTC inbox, or it can be removed automatically
👉 Think of it like setting up mail forwarding with the post office—your mail still arrives, but a copy is sent somewhere else too.
How to Set Up Email Forwarding
Log in to your RTC Email account
At the top, Click on Preferences
On the left, Select Mail
Scroll to Receiving Messages
Find the Message Arrival section
Under “Forward a copy to”, enter the email address where you want messages sent
Check the "Remove local copy of message" box, unless you intended to still log into mail.rtcol.com to clean up your inbox
Don't forget to click Save at the top of the screen
✅ That’s it! New messages will now be forwarded automatically.
Important Notes
🔒 Security: Forwarded emails are sent outside of RTC Email—only forward to trusted accounts
🤡️ Beware of Scams: RTC or its representatives will never ask you to forward your email to a specified account
đź“ Inbox Copies: Messages will still stay in your RTC inbox if you do not check the Remove local copy of message box
↩️ Replies: Replies sent from your other inbox will go directly to the original sender
⚠️ Avoid Loops: Don’t forward between accounts that forward back to each other
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t I just connect my RTC Email to Gmail or Outlook?
Many email providers are moving away from older technologies like POP3, which were traditionally used to “pull” mail from another account.
Because of these changes:
Some services no longer support POP3 connections
Others restrict or limit how external accounts can be added
👉 Forwarding is more reliable because it “pushes” your email to the other inbox instead.
Will I still get email in my RTC inbox?
Yes. By default, your messages will still appear in your RTC Email inbox; you can check the Remove local copy of message box or add additional rules to conditionally delete messages.
Can I reply from Gmail or Outlook?
Yes—but replies will come from that email account (not your @rtcol.com address); Some providers allow you to configure configure “Send As” or SMTP settings separately (as of April 2026)

Is forwarding secure?
Forwarding is safe as long as you send messages to a trusted email account. Keep in mind that messages will exist outside of RTC Email once forwarded.
